The mission of Dance Conservatory of Pasadena (“Conservatory”) is to inspire, train and nurture individual’s creative endeavors, with a focus on ballet and other high intensity movement training. Through a variety of educational and engagement opportunities, the Conservatory offers the local Pasadena community with high quality dance instruction with a focus on building the next generation of artists and leaders.

The Dance Conservatory of Pasadena was founded in 2010 by Artistic Director Jennifer Cheng. The program stemmed from the growing need of a high quality pre-professional and adult ballet program in
the heart of Pasadena. For nearly ten years, the Conservatory has challenged students to create work that’s important to the local community. The Conservatory mixes traditional dance elements with
intuitive and visceral intellect.

Over the years, the Dance Conservatory of Pasadena has expanded its programming to include a wide range of dance and ballet training opportunities. The Conservatory currently offers three distinct
programs, 1) Miss Caroline’s Children’s Division, 2) a comprehensive pre-professional ballet program, and 3) an ongoing adult-focused movement program.

“We embrace excellence and passion wherever we may find it and will support those who need assistance in pursuing their dreams in dance.”

-Jennifer Cheng, Artistic Director
