Welcome Back to Fall 2016 at Dance Conservatory of Pasadena

Everyone at DCP is excited to see our students return to classes. I know some of you have had wonderful experiences at various dance camps around the country, and many of you had relaxing and fun vacations these last three months. It’s now back to school and also back to the studio. In our children’s division, Miss Caroline will continue her fabulous classes with her younger kids and will be working hard with her growing 7-9 years old classes. I am pleased to welcome Ava Robles as a dance instructor. She will be teaching kid’s classes on Friday as well as teaching a brand new class on Saturday – Open Pre-Teen Ballet. This ballet class will still teach ballet fundamentals but with top 40 music hits and with a lot of fun and energy. Please see the new schedule for times. Miss Caroline will once again direct our popular petite Nutcracker. Details will be shortly forthcoming.

DCP has a new tuition policy for our pre-professional program, which is posted at the studio. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Our pre-professional tech programs have added strength and conditioning class for Tech 3,4 and 5 as well as contemporary class on Tuesdays. Our tech students will yet again be performing Nutcracker at the Arcadia Performing Arts Center. It will be a wonderful show with more students from our Tech 1 and 2 classes. It will also showcase our talented Tech 3,4 and 5 students in all the major roles. In addition, some of our students will be competing at YAGP 2017. The large ensemble number will be Cubicle. It will be an interesting blend of ballet and contemporary dance with sets from Diavolo.

As a reminder, auditions are required for placement in the tech programs. Scholarships are also determined at the auditions. The audition is scheduled on Saturday September 10. Please check our website or Facebook for times and requirements for auditions.

See you at the studio. I am looking forward to seeing all of you soon.

Best Tendus to all
